Digital X-rays
We use digital x-rays to evaluate how teeth are positioned in the jaw. X-rays are taken at the beginning of treatment. However, we may recommend additional x-rays during or after your care to track progress. Digital x-rays are safer than traditional film, and offer a fast, comfortable experience.
Tooth Exposure Procedure
Permanent teeth that are impacted often need help to properly erupt into the arch. With tooth exposure procedures, we use our gentle laser to uncover enough of the tooth to attach a bracket or other device. The tooth is then gently guided into its ideal position.
3Shape TRIOS® Digital Scanner
We utilize an intraoral digital scanner to eliminate the need for messy impressions. This technology also helps us plan orthodontic treatment that is customized for more accurate and predictable results.
Temparary Anchorage Devices (TAD)
We use TADs to encourage movement of teeth for bite correction. This involves temporary placement of a mini dental implant within the jawbone. TADs function as anchors in the arch. These firm anchors allow us to push, pull or otherwise move the teeth as needed during treatment.
